COVID-19 Virus Statement

In accordance with Franklin County Resolution 2020-74: Declaration of Emergency due to the Covid-19 Coronavirus, the Treasurer’s Office will be closed to the public effective immediately. As such, our doors will be closed and office hours will be modified depending on the amount of business that is being done throughout the day.

The Treasurer’s Office is committed to serving our citizens during this time of unprecedented response to the public health emergency.  However, we will be limited to online, email and telephone support.  Working hours may be further limited.  You may process the following types of transactions online:

  1. Pay property tax, personal property or irrigation https://www.paydici.com/franklin-county-wa/search/new
  2. Look up information about a property, tax history, sales, map sifter, appraisal breakdown, value and more at http://terra.co.franklin.wa.us/TaxSifter/Search/Results.aspx
  3. Request to change mailing address http://www.co.franklin.wa.us/assessor/change_of_address.php
  4. On all real estate transactions you are required to have a REETA, you can find that on DOR webpage at https://dor.wa.gov/get-form-or-publication/forms-name-r

For tax payments that are not done online, the Treasurer’s Office has a drop box located in the courthouse parking lot by the security building. All payments made at the drop box will have a receipt mailed to them by our office for your records.

During this time we will not take cash payments. If you don’t have the ability to write a check or use our online payment system, we encourage you to get a cashier’s check or a money order and drop the payment in the drop box located outside the security building.

For any transaction that cannot be completed without the “in person assistance” of our staff, we will still be available by appointments only. Email us at Treasurer@co.franklin.wa.us or call at (509)545-3518 (option 0) to schedule your appointment time. Please note any transaction that requires multiple offices such as excise or mobile homes, etc., we will coordinate with the appropriate offices to ensure all parties are available during your appointment time. Appointments will be scheduled between 9:00AM and 12:00PM Monday through Friday

We recognize this is a challenging time and we will work to accommodate to the best of our ability. For any further information, questions or requests, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our office. We will answer all requests as soon as possible, but it may take 24 to 48 hours to respond depending on the volume.
